In this hands-on workshop, Google Developer Expert Sijohn Mathew will guide you through building your own AI-powered Executive Assistant using the Google Agent Development Kit (ADK), Gemini, and Vertex AI. The agent we are building is an executive assistant, designed to help you with daily tasks like managing your calendar, reminding you of tasks, doing research and compiling notes. You will learn how to:
- Provision the core Google Cloud infrastructure for agentic systems
- Use Vertex AI Memory Bank to give your agent persistent, personal context
- Orchestrate specialized sub‑agents for research, to‑dos, and calendar workflows
- Connect your agent to real‑world workflows using Cloud Run, databases, and APIs
This session is aimed at developers and cloud practitioners who want to move beyond simple prompts and start building real, production‑style AI agents.
Bring your laptop! We’ll build together, explore the architecture, and discuss how you can adapt the same patterns in your own projects.
